In rebranding this coffee shop, my goal was to create whimsical designs that would appeal to both young urban professionals as well as to families. I created a light-hearted logo and a fun menu with an unconventional layout, complete with original illustrations. I carefully designed all of the branding materials in order to create an inviting and laid-back environment.
Wknd is a young travel magazine geared towards the unconventional traveler. Wknd's goal is to emphasize ways to avoid tourist traps and to experience cities as the natives do. In order to attract this type of clientele, I created a logo that encourages travel while promoting a local feel. I also focused on designing bold covers and fun layout designs that would attract the adventurous traveler.
Bull's Blood is a wine from the Egri Bikaver wineries in Hungary. In my designs for the wine label and the promotional advertisement, my goal was to show the strength of the wine as well as its cultural and artistic importance in society. To create the sensation of art, I used traditional ink and watercolor to create the wine label and designed a poster that likens the fine wine to a fine painting.
In redesigning the book covers of three American classic novels, my goal was to maintain the vintage feeling of the books by using scratchboard to illustrate the new covers. I used an old lunchbox design to create the packaging for the book series in keeping with the tradition of reading these important novels in schools across America.
For this Marriage Equality campaign, I created three posters with original illustrations that represent love in its most simple form. The logo that I created for Marriage equality depicts two puzzle pieces as humans with no clear gender. My goal was to create a logo that represents love and companionship as the central focus of marriage without regard to gender.
DePedro is a singer and songwriter whose music combines simple instrumental chords with strong vocals. For this CD campaign, I combined a simple and clean design with a strong typeface that I created. The illustrations include a pairing theme that subtly references the title, Two Parts in One.
Piper's Rainbow is a children's book that I wrote and illustrated to raise money for an LGBT non-profit organization. The book tells the tale of a young orphan boy who lives in a gray world without color, until one day he goes on a journey and discovers a colorful world where he learns about diversity of race and family structure. Through Piper's adventures, children who read this book will learn the real meaning of love without regard to race or gender.
I generated a friendly design in order to develop an inviting image for Yes! Organic Market. The stationery, coupon books, and website that I created include hand-drawn illustrations in earth tone colors that keep with the organic theme of the market.
My passions for design and photography come together in my book, Chiaroscuro. I created this book in order to showcase a small compilation of my photography. My eye for detail is reflected in the photographs of this book, which I laid out in a double cover flip magazine concept, showing light and dark sides of life.
